Welcome to LingoTip. To become a registered user of LingoTip, you must first read and agree to the Terms and Conditions detailed below. LingoTip reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, we will announce that these changes have been made on our site or through direct email messages. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.

LingoTip Rules

You agree to the following:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You cannot cancel an order that is In Process (i.e. the order was accepted by a specific translator).
• If you are not satisfied with the delivered translation, then you have a week’s time to file for a dispute, where it shall be reviewed by LingoTip, and if proved correct, shall be refunded or shall be reposted for editing through a renewed translation cycle. Defects present in one part of the translation shall not be grounds, for any reason whatsoever, for questioning the entire translation. LingoTip reserves the right to make modifications to the translation in such cases.
• You will not post illegal materials for translation, including pornography, obscene or abusive material.
• You will not post any materials that violate another party’s intellectual property rights.
• You will not distribute any materials, including viruses that may harm the LingoTip Website or the computer of any LingoTip user.
• You will not collect information about users on the site.
• You will not impersonate or try to pass yourself off as any other person or entity.
• If you believe that your account has been tampered with, you will notify us immediately.
• You are responsible to comply with the laws of your state and country and all international laws.
• If you are the translator:
  • You will provide the translated material on or before the agreed upon due date.
  • LingoTip commission will be deducted from your payment.
  • Payment is through PayPal. Please remember that PayPal deducts its own fees.
  • You understand that payment will be made within full 30 days after the translation is delivered (Net 30).
  • If a customer complained about your translation and a LingoTip linguist confirmed the complaint, you will not be paid for the translation.

LingoTip reserves the right to suspend an account if there is suspicion of illegal use of the site.
LingoTip reserves the right to terminate an account at any time if you break any of the rules.

Liability
You acknowledge that LingoTip provides a platform for translation services to be offered by freelance translators. Although LingoTip includes quality control mechanisms, including translator tests and audits, LingoTip has no control over and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or timeliness of the translations.
You acknowledge that LingoTip will not be responsible for any errors or omissions contained in the translations. Nor is LingoTip liable for any loss or damage incurred by use as a result of the translations provided to you by the translators.
You acknowledge that LingoTip is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage incurred to profits (whether or not the loss of such profits was foreseeable, arose in the normal course of things or you have advised LingoTip of the possibility of such potential loss), contracts or income, damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon or any other direct or indirect, consequential and incidental damages.
Any disputes that you may have with any other LingoTip users will be handled directly between you and the user. LingoTip will not intervene and you will not hold LingoTip responsible for handling these disputes.

Although LingoTip employs a vast infrastructure to ensure timely delivery of the translation, LingoTip shall not be held liable for delays in the delivered translation beyond a refund.

You acknowledge that LingoTip will not be responsible for any loss of income or other issues that may arise because of the LingoTip Website being inaccessible. Using a LingoTip multilingual widget requires access to the LingoTip servers. LingoTip employs robust mechanisms to ensure constant accessibility. However, LingoTip does not guarantee 100% uptime of its servers and shall not be held liable if the servers are not accessible. If you do not want to rely on LingoTip online servers then, you can use the HTML translation services that do not require online access for the translated text.

Privacy Policy
We will not share or sell your information to any 3rd party source unless you give us permission to do so or unless legally required to do so by the appropriate authorities.
We store our information on servers in the United States. We implement many methods to help ensure the security of this information. Due to possible 3rd party attempts to illegally access information from Websites, we cannot guarantee that your information will always remain private.
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Additionally, for systems administration, detecting usage patterns and troubleshooting purposes, our Web servers automatically log standard access information including browser type, access times/open mail, URL requested, and referral URL. This information is not shared with 3rd parties. Any individually identifiable information related to this data will not be used in any way different to that stated above without your explicit permission.
